Bookmarc

When he’s not busy designing clothes, Marc Jacobs fancies himself a bit of a bibliophile. Adding to his retail empire, he has just opened his first bookstore, the brilliantly titled Bookmarc, in New York's trendy Bleecker Street. The shop will sell art and photography books alongside vinyl records, Marc Jacobs notebooks, pencils, pens and CD's.

Not the first designer to go down the bookish route, Karl Lagerfeld opened a bookstore called 7L next to his photography studio on Rue Lille in Paris in 1999. He's also published books under his own imprint Édition 7L, a division of the German publishing company Steidl.

Chocolate doesn't cause Acne, but Candy does

Luis Venegas, Editor in Chief of self-proclaimed transversal style magazine Candy, has collaborated with Acne to create a collection of three shirts. Working on the idea of a classic western shirt, but playing with detail and proportion, the end result is a fun take on masculine versus feminine.
